Language & Religion

Greek language is spoken in Cyprus. English is widely spoken. Russian,French and German are also well spoken within the tourist industry. All road signs are in Greek and English which makes it very easy to move around the island. Additionally all the restaurant menus and in every hotel the staff is multilingual. The religion is Greek Orthodox.

Cyprus enjoys an exceedingly high level of freedom of worship. While the majority of Greek-Cypriots are Greek-Orthodox Christians, other denominations are represented on the island, including Armenians, Maronites and Roman Catholics. The Turkish-Cypriot community is predominantly Muslim.
