Language & Religion

Greek language is spoken in Cyprus. English is widely spoken. Russian,French and German are also well spoken within the tourist industry. All road signs are in Greek and English which makes it very easy to move around the island. Additionally all the restaurant menus and in every hotel the staff is multilingual. The religion is Greek Orthodox.

Hiking at Troodos Mountains

The Troodos Mountains, whose highest peak almost reaches 2000 metres and is covered in snow in the winter, is a cooler alternative in the summer to the heat of the coast. Here some fine walking is to be had along trails that go through scented forests of pine, past waterfalls and take in magnificent panoramic views across the island.
